Due Date

Well, it's official-- LT is late!

LT's due date of June 9th has come and gone and still no sign of this little baby. He's apparently not in a rush to come out. We are giving him until June 19th to come out on his own--if he is still not out, then induction it is! My mother is confident he will start stirring and wanting to come out between June 14-16th due to the full moon on June 15th. Plus, the 15th falls on a Wednesday, which is the most popular delivery day of the week. A woman is 15% more likely to deliver on a Wednesday than any other day of the week. I hope my mother and the statistics are correct...

Off to the museum now!

The waiting game...

I have been officially on maternity leave since May 27th and boy has it been busy! I've been trying to spend some quality time with myself and Geoffrey and anyone else that just happens to be around. Highlights of maternity leave so far include:

Wine country getaway with the Louie's.

Afternoon tea and re-reading of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (to prep for the last movie which looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!).

Celebrating Geoffrey's birthday (birthday dinners, bowling, bbq'ing, Giant's game).

Hanging with my sisters and nephew.

I have seen 3 movies so far including Pirates of the Caribbean (entertaining), Midnight in Paris (SO GOOD!), King Fu Panda 2 (with my nephew, which we both fell asleep to) and hoping to get another one in before LT arrives. I've also been catching up on TV shows (series of the moment Game of Thrones--thanks Gracie for the recommendation) and Netflix.

Other things that have filled my days include shopping, lunch dates with friends and/or Geoffrey, staying active (walking up and down Potrero Hill and going to my aquafit classes) and taking daily naps.

I'm definitely enjoying my maternity leave, but now that my due date is only TWO days away, I am ready to meet this little guy in my belly. My doctor says I can go up to 42 weeks, but I am secretly hoping this doesn't happen. So for now, we continue to wait...
