Second baby out--one to go!

And the last one left is mine. I'm noticing a pattern with these Spring babies--they like to come 3 weeks early! Eeek, that means we need to be prepared by May 19th!! We are trying to coach Mr. LT to stay in until end of May/early early June. Coincidentally, there happens to be another eclipse on June 1. And, along with the full moon that day, I am predicting LT will be born June 1. When do you think LT will be born?? We're taking down predictions!

Welcome to the world Henry "Buster" Page! You're a very luck baby!! We love you and LT can't wait to meet you!!

Eclipse and a baby!

So, my mother and sister's were frantically calling me last week to let me know that there was another eclipse coming up on Monday (as in two days ago). On the day of the eclipse, I made sure to not go outside too much, didn't shower and wore my safety pins on my undies. My mom also asked me to warn my pregnant friends about the eclipse, so I did. And guess what? We got the news that one of my preggo friends had her baby yesterday!! Could the eclipse have had something to do with it?????

I just want to jump up and down with joy! This really puts things in perspective for us and makes it seem so much closer to meeting LT! From my calculations, she was about 3-4 weeks early, so now I really have to buckle down and get things ready for baby, just in case he is a little bit early;)

Eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkk! So excited!!!!

Welcome to the world Baby Yoda! We love you already!

Who knew?

I went bowling a couple of weeks ago and scored a 191 (only left 3 open frames and the last one was rushed because our time was running out)! This was by far the best bowling I have ever done in my life--and I was even on a bowling team for a few seasons a few years ago.

Being pregnant makes you a better bowler. Fact.

LT Approved: Tankini and Aqua-Fit classes

First, I'd just like to say that there are no cute maternity swimsuits, at least not at Target. I decided to start going to the Aqua-fit classes at my gym so I could sneak in some exercise into my weekly routine. So I tried on my sporty swim suit (the one that I bought for my swim lessons a few years back) and wouldn't you know it, it doesn't fit! Big surprise there, right? I headed over to Target to check out the selection of maternity swimsuits and boy was that a mistake. Most of the swimsuits were WAY too big and ghastly looking, which are also descriptions I would use for the maternity clothes I've seen to-date. Why can't pregnant women have cute affordable maternity clothes and bathing suits?? Anyway, I decided to forgo the maternity swimsuits and buy a regular bathing suit, one size up. The swimsuit of choice? A tankini! My very first tankini! And it is wonderful! Of course, my belly is starting to peek from the bottom now, but that's another blog post...Tankini--LT approved!

Since I am on the subject, I started taking an Aqua-fit class and I've decided that this is the best pregnancy workout ever! The pool is nice and warm (it's indoor), has a view of the San Francisco skyline and I feel weightless in the water! Weightless! I can run, twirl, jump and keep my balance without my big belly getting in the way or hurting my back!We use buoys and noodles to work our core, legs and arms and we even manage to get some cardio workout as well! And the stretches underwater make me feel so flexible! If you are pregnant or ever plan to be pregnant, I highly recommend these classes! They are simply amazing. Aqua-fit classes: LT approved!

Things My Husband Says...

And I quote: "Your belly makes your butt look small, tiny."

I took this as a compliment:)

Happy 24 weeks to LT today!

Playing games with LT

Lately, LT has been very active at night. He is most active after we have had dinner and are sitting around relaxing and watching TV or when we are in bed reading. Last night, while I was reading the latest issue of Real Simple, Geoffrey uncovered my belly and very loudly said "ONE" then proceeded to poke my belly once. He then said "TWO" and poked my belly twice. He repeated this pattern a few times. This is a game he discovered while reading a chapter out of  The Expectant Father which suggested that he start playing games with LT. At first LT was non-responsive, perhaps wondering why daddy was yelling and what the heck was poking at him. But after a while, he started to kick back after Geoffrey would poke my belly. I think the point of the game is to stimulate LT (he should be kicking back the amount of times corresponding to the number/poke) and to help dad bond with baby. Geoffrey and I were so fascinated, even though LT only got "one" down. We'll work on "two" tonight...
